The Prolific Potential of Plants

Plants aren’t just for prettying up your apartment, though WE do love well-placed botanicals on a sunny windowsill. Switching to a plant-powered lifestyle can make a big impact on your health and the health of the planet!

So, why pivot to plants?

Give yourself a gut check
Plants are super high in fiber, which is great for your gut health. More fiber means you can absorb nutrients better, reduce inflammation, boost your immune system, and lower your cholesterol. What’s not the love about that?

Help clear the air
Cows and other grazing animals that are used in factory farming produce methane, which is a huge contributor to global warming. About 44% of the annual methane budget globally comes from livestock -- yikes!

It’s also the single-biggest cause of deforestation. It’s a no-brainer -- we need to stop eating animals all the time!

The good news is you don’t have to go completely cold turkey to make a difference! Moving toward an 80% animal-based and 20% plant-based diet would almost entirely solve our current food-driven carbon footprint problem and fix many of the land and water management issues we currently face.

Plants are nature’s chill pills
Veggies and fruits are not only pretty on the plate, they can also help you feel less stressed and catch more restful zzz’s. Plants are sources of serotonin, melatonin, and tryptophan, a trifecta of neurotransmitters that boost relaxation. Who doesn’t need a little stress relief these days?

It’s not just food
Plants are becoming more prominent in non-culinary places, and WE love to see it! You can find sustainable packaging made from plants that help combat the scourge of single-use, waste-based plastics!

WE are proud to produce entirely plant-based meals and snacks - check them out and find your new fave!
