2020 Was Tough. But WE Were Tougher.

If 2020 taught us anything, it’s the importance of community. WE came together to care for one another through the largest health crisis of our lifetimes, economic uncertainty, food insecurity, and a long-overdue social justice uprising. WE hope this has brought a little perspective to us all.

This year has been anything but easy and it’s because of our HoneyFlower family that we were able to navigate the many challenges this year threw our way.

WE couldn’t have served up more than 200,000 community donation meals this year without our amazing community partners, like World Central Kitchen, Rethink Food, World Centric, PinkTie, Hook Hall, DC’s Mayor Bowser, City Harvest, Food Rescue DC, Patagonia DC, NYC Health + Hospitals, Bloomberg Philanthropies, Chef José Andrés, and many, many more.

Across the East coast, WE fed more than 25 communities and we’re excited to reach even more people with our nutritious, environmentally-friendly meals in 2021.

Add to this the climate crisis that is getting worse by the day, but WE continued our commitment to being scalably sustainable and leaving our planet better than we found it. We maintained less than 1% food waste this year, with the goal of getting down to 0%, and we upheld our zero plastic pledge for all our products for the third year in a row!

WE helped employ more than 50 people across 6 states, even in the face of staggering unemployment numbers across the country. WE stood in solidarity with women-, minority-, and veteran-owned small businesses and helped to promote and support them so they could keep their operations going.

2021 is just around the corner and we can see brighter days ahead! Thank you for sticking with us this year and for being part of the movement to Eat for the Future. WE promise to continue to work hard on these priorities and bring you great-tasting food that is good for you, good for the planet, and good for the future.
